Ricefield sushi rice has a delicate and mild taste that enhances the flavors of all sushi creations. The special processing of the rice ensures optimum stickiness, which is essential for rolling and shaping sushi.
Before cooking, wash the rice thoroughly to remove excess starch. Soak the washed rice for about 30 minutes. Then cook the soaked rice with the right amount of water in a rice stove or a pot with a lid. Once cooked, season the rice with a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar and salt to create the traditional sushi base. You can use the prepared sushi rice to conjure up a variety of sushi creations, from vegan maki rolls to vegan nigiri and sashimi variations.
