La Cotta from New Roots: vegan alternative to ricotta based on cashews

New Roots' La Cotta will effortlessly knock your socks off with its heavenly taste and simply brings everything you could want from a vegan alternative to ricotta. It has a light and airy consistency, is suitable both as a topping for bread and as an ingredient, and is made using a traditional process with vegan fermentation cultures - based on cashews. In the process, New Roots uses plant-based ingredients from certified organic agriculture. Virgin olive oil, thyme and lavender also give La Cotta olive oil a delicious Mediterranean aroma.

Ricotta can be used in a variety of ways. Together with spinach, the fresh cheese with Italian roots is popular as a filling for dumplings such as tortellini, for lasagna. And the plant-based ricotta alternative from New Roots tastes wonderful not only on its own on bread, but also as a filling and as an ingredient for creamy sauces. In addition, the La Cotta is suitable for the preparation of desserts such as a vegan cream or tiramisu alternative.
